Social Media Campaign Manager - KidsOR


This role is responsible for launching and driving forward an engaging digital

advocacy campaign to build and mobilise an engaged and inspired movement

of supporters. Working with our research, communications, and leadership

teams, you will lead the creation and delivery of an innovative programme of

content to lobby for change in global health expenditure.

You will need to be proactive in analysing trends, building relationships with

key advocates and influencers and exploiting opportunities to amplify our

message to decision-makers.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Devise two separate 8-week long campaigns, including all social media, blogs, video messages
and other content as deemed appropriate.
Launch and manage a creative and engaging digital advocacy campaign on global health using
our in-house research team and distilling their data into a publicly consumable campaign.
Working with the Digital Communications Manager, create a strategic plan for the advocacy
campaign to sit alongside the wider Digital Communications strategy
Working with our research and leadership team, generate and deliver a content plan to
complement other social media content from KidsOR
Working with the Social media and Content Officer, undertake social listening and community
management activities
Undertake audience and platform research to determine a data and insight driven campaign.
With the digital communications team, identify, form and maintain key relationships with
advocates and influencers to drive the success of the advocacy campaign.
Monitor, track, analyse and report on campaign performance
Keep up-to-date and respond to competitor’s campaigns and industry trends
Ensure that the organisation’s brand and identity is adhered to during the social media
advocacy campaign and in all communication channels
Ensure coordination and engagement across all departments to deliver on the advocacy
campaign strategic objectives.

Person specification

Experience
• Experience developing and executing an advocacy social media campaign.
• Experience growing, engaging and mobilising social media communities.
• Experience setting social media campaign KPIs and tracking digital activity.
• Experience of content creation and management.
• Experience working with digital advocates and influencers.
• Experience with online community building and grassroots organising strongly
preferred.

Excellent communication skills; creating compelling and persuasive content for a
range of audiences
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent eye for design and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/ Suite or
other image/ video editing tools, as well as content management systems.
Excellent understanding of social media platforms and audience behaviour.
Ability to forge effective stakeholder relationships globally, to influence
effectively at all levels and work collaboratively with wider teams.
Knowledge of a range of data analytics tools (including social media
management tools and Google Analytics) and the ability to understand and
translate data and analytics into successful digital strategies
