The Technical Sales Manager will report to the CEO.

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an Aberdeen-based Technical Sales Manager with a strong Chemicals background. This role will have a focus on growing the business internationally. The growth plans will be enabled through close account management, market analysis and the development of a business plan to achieve the company goals. If you have a strong Oil and Gas background together with working and/or academic Chemical knowledge, this would be ideal.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Account/Relationship management with existing and new clients to sustain business and enable growth across Aberdeen and internationally.
  • Manage sales activity, including pipeline, promotion of their products and identification of sales opportunities. There will be a requirement to update the Board with sales outcomes and figures as and when required.
  • To provide sales campaign development and execution including proposal development, oral presentations, and support of contract negotiations.
  • Required to develop business plans and push to fulfill the direction achieve sales targets and customer retention goals.
  • Provide technical expertise within Chemicals and Oil and Gas as we support clients throughout the sales process.
  • Monitor industry trends, including market development of products and activities to improve sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Understanding of oilfield flow assurance problems, with emphasis on inorganic scale
  • Prior technical / sales experience of flow assurance solutions
  • Prior technical experience to understand well performance data
  • Sound commercial knowledge and understanding of market drivers for scale prevention
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
