Senior Python Developer

We are supporting the appointment of a Senior Python Developer for a growing technology business based in Aberdeen.
This is a genuinely senior opportunity suited to an experienced software engineer who enjoys building scalable, high quality products and contributing to technical direction within a collaborative development environment.
You will join a product focused engineering team responsible for developing modern backend services, APIs, and data driven applications used globally within a specialist technology sector.

This role is Aberdeen based with hybrid working available. Candidates must already be based within commuting distance of Aberdeen.

Proven background in:
• Designing and developing scalable Python applications
• Building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Contributing to architecture and technical design decisions
• Working closely with cloud, product, and engineering teams
• Supporting testing, deployment, and continuous improvement
• Mentoring developers and contributing to code reviews
• Helping shape engineering standards and best practice

We are looking for:
• Strong commercial Python development experience
• Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• Experience with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
• Good knowledge of CI/CD and cloud based environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems
