Rachael Jaypalan
Co-Founder
Rachael is the calm, collected, people-centred heart of our team. Her secret weapon? Mastering the art of juggling—as a mum of three, she’s an expert in thinking on her feet.
With a Degree in Human Resource Management, chartered CIPD membership, and over 20 years of experience (including stints as Head of HR, HR Manager, and running her own HR consultancy), Rachael knows her stuff. She’s the go-to sounding board for our clients and is always ready with practical advicespective, or a reassuring word.
When she’s not guiding careers or shaping businesses, you’ll find Rachael clocking up miles with her running club, enjoying a night at the theatre, or spending quality time with her family.
Sasha Jaypalan
Co-Founder
Sasha has created the vision and direction for Grace May, staying true to its people-centred values. He is a true people person—an encourager whose enthusiasm lifts everyone’s energy.
After completing a degree in Business Studies, Sasha began his career in fund management, honing his analytical skills. His passion for aviation led him to complete a commercial helicopter license in 2008, which led to him taking a role as a pilot in Aberdeen.
While his aviation career was cut short in a downturn, undeterred, he embraced a new challenge, stepping into the world of recruitment (despite some scepticism from others). Looking back now, he’ll tell you it was one of the best decisions he ever made, as it allowed him to combine his problem-solving skills with his passion for helping people achieve their goals.
Outside of work, Sasha enjoys time with his family; he is a keen park runner and loves dog walking in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside. His childhood love of cricket has evolved into a new enjoyment of golf—he describes it as “humbling and character-building.”
