Electronics Production Engineer

Job Description
Grace May is working with a global technology company to recruit an experienced Electronics Production Engineer to join its specialist engineering team.
This is a hands-on build and assembly role, working on small, high-precision electronic and opto-mechanical systems used within advanced technology equipment. You’ll be involved in assembling products from components through to finished units, ensuring every build meets exacting standards for quality, reliability and performance.
We’re looking for someone who takes real pride in their work – diligent, methodical and committed to producing robust, high-quality equipment.
Key Skills
The role will include:
• Assembly and build of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment
• Soldering and wiring of electronic components and assemblies
• Precision mechanical assembly of small components
• Working with delicate components requiring accuracy and attention to detail
• Following build instructions, drawings and technical documentation
• Checking completed assemblies to ensure a consistently high standard
• Supporting the ordering of components and equipment when required
• Monitoring and managing stock levels for build materials and components
• Working closely with engineering colleagues to resolve build issues and improve assembly processes
The person
What we’re looking for:
• Practical, hands-on experience in electronics assembly or electronic equipment build
• Strong soldering and wiring skills
• Experience of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly
• Good practical knowledge of electronics
• Confidence working with small, precision components
• The ability to work carefully and methodically with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on build quality
• Someone who takes ownership of their work and sees tasks through to completion
You will have a strong foundation in electronics, soldering, wiring and precision assembly, together with the ability to learn specialist build techniques.
