Lead Tender Specialist

Job Description
Grace May is working in close partnership with a well-established international offshore energy services organisation to recruit a UK Lead Tender Specialist. This is a key position within the business, responsible for leading the tendering process across a diverse portfolio of offshore and subsea projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities, leading complex tenders from initial opportunity assessment through to contract award, while working closely with technical, operational and commercial teams.
This position would suit an experienced Bid Lead, Tender Lead or Proposals Lead looking to take ownership of a broad commercial function within a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will work in an agile environment where decisions are made quickly. The market opportunities are global, offering a wide reaching remit. Key Responsibilities
•Lead and manage the full tendering process from pre-qualification through to contract award.
•Coordinate internal stakeholders across technical, operational, commercial and support functions.
•Analyse tender requirements, project specifications and scope of work documentation.
•Develop project estimates, pricing models, schedules and commercial proposals.
•Conduct detailed reviews of costing, margins, commercial risks and opportunities.
•Support bid/no-bid decisions and tender strategy development.
•Manage client engagement throughout the tender lifecycle.
•Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and stakeholder engagements.
•Ensure successful handover of awarded projects to operational delivery teams.
•Monitor tender performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
The person
What We Are Looking For
•We are keen to speak with individuals who can demonstrate:
•Experience leading complex offshore, marine or subsea tender submissions.
•Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
•Experience preparing detailed project estimates and commercial proposals.
•The ability to manage multiple tenders including ITT's, RFP's, RFQ's and competing deadlines.
•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
•Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
Experience within one or more of the following areas would be highly advantageous:
Subsea services
Geophysical or geotechnical projects
Inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR)
Marine operations
Offshore construction
Renewable energy projects
Engineered offshore solutions
