The role of the Business Development Manager would be to establish memberships amongst the C-suites of existing clients and new companies, expand on existing memberships to add additional members, and support the renewal rate.
Responsibilities:-
· Identifying potential sales targets and utilising leads provided by marketing and sales management.
· Moving prospects from first contact (including a significant amount of cold-calling and LinkedIn work) through the sales pipeline to close.
· Working with the digital subscriptions and community management teams to manage the accounts brought in, ensuring renewal and growth of subscriptions within those accounts.
· Connecting with teams working on product development and marketing to help drive the business forward.
Skills required
· Demonstrated track record of successfully selling B2B services to senior executives at leading global corporations.
· Thorough comprehension of the subscription sales process, methodologies, and performance metrics.
· Proficiency in acquiring new sales skills spanning from prospecting and cold calling to nurturing opportunities through to closure.
· Proficient in delivering compelling presentations and tailoring pitches to individual clients.
· Hands-on experience in account management, particularly in driving product adoption and engagement within organisations preferably with a focus on renewals.
· A natural networker with knowledge of the energy sector and senior-level contacts.
